Friday Foto from someone from Frederick

That Frederick person would be me. I went to the WVU Mountaineer game last night that was on ESPN. You probably had seen me but just didn’t know it (I was wearing Blue in the “Gold Rush.”) There were plenty of Marylander at the game. I am sure I wasn’t the only one from the Frederick area either…In fact, you might even be related to these die-hard fans… gotta love what alcohol will do to some people.

Fotos on Frederick Friday

This picture was taken this weekend on Annapolis Rocks off the Appalachian Trail. If you haven’t walked up there lately or at all…Take Oxygen!!! The walk up was a little trying on my slender physique. You park at the entrance to the Appalachian trail off Route 40 at the border of Frederick and Washington County. We walked up after dinner and enjoyed a pretty spectacular views of the fall foliage and finished up with a gorgeous sunset. You can see more photos in my Flickr Photostream.

The walk took a little more than an hour to get up there and about 45 minutes to get back down. Take plenty of fluids and a flash light. The trail is well groomed, but pretty treacherous on the ankles due to all the big loose rocks.

Foto Friday in Frederick

Todays Foto comes from my mobile phone blog. As you know I like to stop for ice cream every once in a while. I know, I know…Bob where do you put it…you’re so skinny!!! I mentioned this ice cream store in a previous post, but I didn’t talk to much about it…Well, I not here either…well, maybe a little. This sign is located in the Beef-n-Buns-n-Paradise. (Formily know as Cheese Burgers in Paradise…Jimmy Buffet stopped that when he opened up his chain of restaurants) Not too long after this change the original owners sold the business and headed down south…they did that a lot. Nice couple, the only thing I can remember about him was his Handlebar Moustache…waxed to perfection.

The new owners just as nice (without an old fashion moustache, I haven’t seen her yet) have kept the same atmosphere. The food is good and the ice cream is wonderful.

They do have set hours, but I’m just glad they are open when I get there.
