They “Duped” em. Down Payment Assistant Programs feeling slighted

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or Subscribe by email on the right. Thanks for visiting!

I came across this video on a Loundon County Real Estate agents site.  I told you before about the Nehemiah and AmeriDream.   It has been in front of Congress for sometime now on the HR 6694 - FHA Seller-Financed Downpayment Reform and Risk-Based Pricing Authorization Act of 2008. The DAP will go away if this program passes.  You can contact your congress reps by going through AmeriDreams new website called SupportHomeOwnership.org.  This is one program that does not cost taxpayers any money.  This is funded completely through the agreement of the buyers and sellers.

Thanks Heather for the Vid.

Have a great day.

Friday Fun Films

Merry ChristmasOK, as a request of my very good friend Kevin LynottAlways predicted a sunny day, but never right yet!(a meteorologist with NOAA out in Wyoming) , today’s Fun topic is what is your favorite Christmas Holiday Season Movie. I have a few favorites that are always a must. Absolutely, National Lampoon’s Christmas Holiday Vacation is top of my list. Christmas Holidays with the Kranks (Ok, I’ll stop with the PC,) Elf, A Christmas Story…I like the newer movies if you couldn’t tell. Maybe your favorite is on this list from before 1991. Maybe it was one of the original Christmas Carols? I almost forgot about Emmet Otters Jug Band Christmas.  (thanks Heather)

I created a poll for everyone to vote on…stop back and check out the results later.

Also, while writing this today…at Panera Breads on route 85...The staff entertained the regulars with their “3D” aprons. Love it…absolutely loved it.

Christmas Wrapping

I will leave you with some Christmas Carols by Larry the Cable Guy. (warning he is not politically correct.)

Friday Funny

It has been a long week…need to end it on a funny note. Here is Microsofts answer to the new iPhone. Hope you enjoy it.

Are Sign Spinners next in Frederick?

Grand Opening of Catoctin Ridge TownhomesMaybe you caught this on Saturday…there was a performer hired to hold the sign to Catoctin Ridge Townhomes. The sign holder was Will Maxy (Sorry Will if I misspelled it, call me) He works for Pedestal-Events out of Baltimore. Cars passing by found him to be entertaining and showed their support by blowing horns. Now could this be a new trend on the Golden Mile? Stores seem to be hurting in this area for attention. You can see sign walkers on the weekends and occassionally in the evenings. City ordinance has restrictions against temporary signage. As a REALTOR®, I know that first hand about the signs. I have been fined for having my Sales Directional Signs out during the restricted time frame. We can only have our Open House and Sales Directional signs displayed 8 AM Saturday to 7 PM Sunday. It helps keep your neighborhoods clutter free. Anyways, here’s an example of what’s happening in California.

If you want to see what other areas are doing, go to YouTube.com and search for “sign holders” or “Sign Spinners”Back to the promotion itself, these townhomes are being built by R&J Builders and marketed by Gloria and Roland Castle at Real Estate Teams. They are located off McCain Blvd and priced in the High $200s.Feel free to call me if you need Buyer’s Agent to represent you…yes even for new homes.
