We had some serious ice this week that caused school cancellations. The ice coated the branches. Mother nature always has a way to amaze us. The first foto is right after the freezing rain started. The bottom pictures were from Thursday after the rain. All the ice melted except for the tops of the mountains. When I came home on Thursday the sun was shining through the trees and it look like crystals.
Have a great weekend.

I always did enjoy the trees looking like they were made of glass up in New York on the occasional ice storm. These are great pictures!

[[sigh]] Not a lot of motivation for me to shoot winter photos anymore, I passed up several opportunities yesterday & today [[sigh]]. But they are very nice photos!

Way to go Bob and Frederick! You even made the front page of our local Vancouver, WA newspaper! See the photo at http://www.flickr.com/photos/dalechumbley/2271059464/
Dale, How about that, little ole Frederick made it all the way over there. Thanks for sharing.
Oh gee, Bob! What we get all winter, you get a taste of - just a taste - and then get mentioned in a Washington newspaper. Go figure!
Congratulations Bob I hope it’s the beginning of many newspaper sights
