I had noticed about a half dozen Cardinals frolicking in the back yard the other day. This isn’t anything new it seems like my back yard is the garden of eden for most of the local wild life. I had my camera, of course, and thought I would try to get a good picture of the bright red birds. (technical term)
When I went through my pictures, I thought this picture was pretty good. But the point of today’s picture isn’t the fact I shot a Cardinal…THE TREES ARE BUDDING!!! We are not even half way through “winter.” Click the picture to see a larger view.
Mother Nature…what’s going on here?

Nice bird–didja hafta shoot him?
Thanks Coop
Linda, LOL
Boomer, I missed a couple times…
Bob,being from Ky, and that is the State Bird, I love the picture!! I have lots of pictures in my home of the Derby, Cardinals and My Old Ky Home.
Great photo, one of the best I have seen.
I hear they taste like chicken.
That’s funny I thought they said they tasted like Frog Legs.
I prefer chicken–more food per bird.
Are you sure that’s not a fake bird?
I have a photo just like this one but with snow that my grandmother had on her desk. I just love it!
