Todays Foto comes from my mobile phone blog. As you know I like to stop for ice cream every once in a while. I know, I know…Bob where do you put it…you’re so skinny!!! I mentioned this ice cream store in a previous post, but I didn’t talk to much about it…Well, I not here either…well, maybe a little. This sign is located in the Beef-n-Buns-n-Paradise. (Formily know as Cheese Burgers in Paradise…Jimmy Buffet stopped that when he opened up his chain of restaurants) Not too long after this change the original owners sold the business and headed down south…they did that a lot. Nice couple, the only thing I can remember about him was his Handlebar Moustache…waxed to perfection.

The new owners just as nice (without an old fashion moustache, I haven’t seen her yet) have kept the same atmosphere. The food is good and the ice cream is wonderful.

They do have set hours, but I’m just glad they are open when I get there.

    Great picture! That sign is great. Yeah, the original owners spent half the year in the Florida Keys and half the year here. When Jimmy Buffett laid down the law (which, if I am not mistaken, made the Daily Show news), they changed the name, sold the business and moved permanently. Too bad, because they led the life I would love to live! I hope the new owners do well.

    And you are right…all I can remember is that handlebar mustache!!

    Liz, I don’t remember it making the daily news. Life was pretty sweet for them…6 on and 6 off. Must of been nice.

    Hi Bob, I don’t remember that place existing in Frederick when I was trekking there, how fun. Great foto! :-) Leave it Jimmy Buffet to do some fun stuff lol

    It’s near the Airport…But Jimmy didn’t do the fun stuff…his lawyers made him change the name. :(
    Look me up the next time down this way… I was supposed to head to Aurora this weekend but my daughter has soccer. My nephew plays soccer for Walsh Jesuit High School. He’s in all the papers up there for breaking records.

    That is a great photo. You definitely have to have good food and a loyal following to stay in business with those hours!!
