Tired of all the Credit Card Junk mail?

I thought I would share a quick website that I find to be a great help. My mail box gets stuffed with junk mail all the time. I don’t mind some of it…I am glutton for punishment some of it I subscribe to by signing up for free catalogs. I don’t mind a Cabela’s or Sharper Image Catalog, but the ones that really rattle me are all the credit offers…grrrr. I get the refis from ABC Mortgage and 123 Mortgage… and then credit card offers from every known bank domestic and foreign. You can stop the madness!!! Just click on the OptOutPrescreen.com website and fill out the form. They claim to make it stop. Make sure you read all of the disclaimers before making the final decision. For me…when it’s time to go shopping for credit, I’ll go looking for it…at my convenience.

Nicely said Bob! I receive and appreciate catalogs from businesses I patronize: Lands End, Eddie Bauer, etc., but don’t go out of my way to get them. I’m not a fan off all the credit offers: cards, home refi, and home equity offers I receive almost daily.

Thanks Jay. Eddie Bauer’s a good one, but the Bank of Eddie Bauer is not!

Bob, I did opt out at one point. It seems like the mailbox is getting stuffed once again with all those refinancing offers. At least I’m not getting all those “Free” credit card mailings. I’ll have to opt out all over.

Cool…a testimonial! Was it more than 5 years ago? They have two options a 5yr plan and Forever.
